In connection with the Wildlife Week observed in the first week of October, WWF-India, jointly with TRAFFIC-India, launched a national quiz in 2009, titled ‘Wild Wisdom’ for school children of classes VI to VIII. For this year, the quiz has been endorsed by the CBSE and you will find a link to the online version of the quiz on the official website of CBSE: www.cbse.nic.in.
The quiz will be held across the district at school-level and the winners will compete at the city level on September 12. The state-level winners will compete at the national-level competition in Delhi on October 5, during the Wildlife Week.
The prize for the top three teams is a trip to a national park right after the Wild Wisdom National Finals.
Interested students and schools can register their teams for the school-level with a registration fee of ` 100 per student. Each student who registers will receive a special WWF India gift package comprising ‘Hope for the Tiger’, a DVD with tiger information, films, wallpapers, a WWF badge and a participation certificate.
