New Delhi: Even as the confusion over some alleged Pakistani terrorists neutralised somewhere in western India continues, the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday distanced itself from the Home Ministry claims that three out of 10 terrorists, who had entered India, have been killed. The Home Ministry had added that the operation to nab the other seven were underway.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, police officers in Gujarat said that nine ATM thieves were mistaken as Pakistani terrorists. Even though there have been reports that three terrorists have been killed, but till now neither is there any proof of the same nor any body has been recovered.
The Intelligence Bureau had issued an alert that 10 terrorists had entered India from Gujarat border and were likely to launch attack before Shivratri. But after the initial alert there have been no reports of the 10 alleged terrorists. The IB had issued the alert after Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Naseer Khan Janjua reportedly tipped off his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval about the terrorists infiltrating into India via Gujarat.
