BANGALORE: Goods Shed Road, one of the main roads leading to the City Railway Station and Majestic Bus Stand. In the recent past, the commuters who use Goods Shed Road which is also called as Dr TCM Royan Road are struck in traffic. This has increased the traffic on the road as the vehicles block a part of the road. The density of vehicles using Goods Shed Road stretch is very high when compared to the other roads in the city.“In the recent past the traffic has increased in this road. Since the printing units here constantly ship their goods, we can see one or the other vehicle parked on the road always. The issue is that they do this at the peak hours. The road is very narrow and above problems curb the free flow of traffic,” said Uttam Kumar, a medical transcriptionist who commute via Goods Shed Road. The commuters alleged that they have missed their trains due to the traffic on the road. They even suggested that the narrow road can be widened citing that there is lot of land which are owned by the railways. When City Express spoke to Additional Commissioner of Police-Traffic Dr M A Saleem he said, “If the vehicles are parked in a no-parking areas or on roads our authorities will impose fine on them. Generally we give some two minutes in case if the vehicles are parked for loading or unloading.” He said that he will take up the matter with the concerned traffic police station.Speaking to City Express, Sudhakar A B, Inspector, Chikpet Station  said, “We impose fine on the ones who are found parking on roads for the loading and unloading purposes. In monthly meetings held on the third Saturday of every month we call all those manufacturing units which are means of creating inconvenience to the public and create awareness to them.” He added, “We allow them to do their shipping for about five minutes during non-peak hours.
