Chennai: Tamil actor Vishal Krishna, who is in a desperate need of a hit movie, says his upcoming action-drama 'Pandiya Naadu' is a very important project in his career as everything worked in his favour while he was filming for it.
"I'm sure even if Suseenthiran (director) and I do another film together, it will not come out as good as this film. Everything so far with regards to the film has worked in my favour, and therefore, I consider it a very important film in my career," Vishal told IANS.
"It all worked because I trusted my director. Our friendly relationship has had a very positive effect on the making of the film. I'm sure the same will be visible on screen," he added.
'Pandiya Naadu' also features Lakshmi Menon, Vikranth, Bharathiraja and Soori in important roles.
Vishal's last three films 'Vedi', 'Samar' and 'Pattathu Yaanai' turned out to be duds at the box office. He hopes to resurrect his sagging career with this film.
"My dad always used to tell me that it's very important to be patient and determined in cinema world. The ups and downs can shake the confidence of any actor, and therefore, I have been following his words religiously. I'm sure 'Pandiya Naadu' will recreate the magic of my films such as 'Sandakozhi'," he said.
Tamil action-drama 'Sandakozhi' still remains as one of the biggest hits in Vishal's career.
Vishal has also produced 'Pandiya Naadu'. He says his own experiences in filmdom made him don the producer's hat.
"My film 'Madha Gadha Raja' faced a lot of financial problems. The film was supposed to release long back, but it's still yet to release. I decided to release it on my own because I thought it is also the actor's responsibility to ensure that his or her film sees the light of the day," he said.
