One constable injured in Srinagar gunfire
Militants shot at and wounded a Jammu and Kashmir police constable in the down town Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon.

New Delhi: A Jammu and Kashmir police constable was shot at and wounded by the militants in Srinagar on Wednesday. He has been hospitalised.

The constable was shot at with a pistol from a close range by militants at Khanyar at about 1500 (IST) hours.

However, a spokesman of the Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed that three State Task Force (STF) personnel were killed in the attack.
