Bangalore: Sending an SMS or chatting with your friend in your mother tongue need not be a struggle any more, thanks to Tachyon Technologies which has come out with 'Quillpad'.
'Quillpad' was an innovative technology that enabled predictive transliteration by using advanced machine learning (artificial intelligence) techniques.
Company Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer H Ram Prakash said that by using this technology, there was no need to remember all the complicated methods of grammar that should be used while typing in a local language.
He said the uniqueness of 'Quillpad' was that it had two major components -- first it could parse the web pages or any document containing Indian language content and learn that particular language's patterns automatically and secondly, when the user inputs a text, 'Quillpad' would automatically predict what each letter should correspond to depending on the context.
Company Co-Founder K S Sreeram said that at present 'Quillpad' was available in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. To a question, he said Rediff.com had been given license to use 'Quillpad' and the company had not developed separate software for marketing.
Prakash said the company, which comprised a team of young and passionate technocrats, aspired to be a global products company.
In that direction, the company maintained its R and D focus in the areas of P2P networking, machine learning and innovative programming paradigms.
