Project officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) B R Ambedkar has decided to supply mineral water to hill-top villagers to prevent water-borne diseases in the Agency area.
He inaugurated a programme organized to distribute mineral to the villagers of Tulasi in Kurupam mandal of the district on Monday.
He visited the Kurupam mandal hill-top villages and directed officials of the medial and health department to stay put at rural health centres were they appointedl.He visited the Tompalapadu Ashram School of Kurupam mandal and observed only 20 students were residing in the hostel. Ambedkar enquired the warden about the poor attendance of students at the hostel to which he replied that most of the students were taken home by their parents due to prevalence of viral fevers.
The PO ordered the deputy DM&HO to appoint four doctors in the hostel for treatment.
