Not quitting RC, will fufill 3-yr contract: Dravid
Internal bickering was out in open with the team's poor performance in IPL.

New Delhi: Bangalore Royal Challenge skipper Rahul Dravid has denied reports of quitting. This after rumors of buckling under pressure over poor performance of his team in IPL matches.

Dravid told CNN-IBN: “Reports of quitting Bangalore Royal Challenge are not true. I have enjoyed the experience of playing in the IPL T-2O matches. I have a three-year contract and hope to fulfill it. “

The internal bickering of the team came out in the oen when owner, liquor baron Vijay Mallya lashing out at Rahul Dravid and sacked CEO Charu Sharma for the team's poor performance in the IPL.

Coach Venkatesh Prasad was also in the line of fire. Mallya had made it clear that he was not happy with the squad as he had some players in mind but Dravid and Sharma completely ignored them and went ahead with their own plan during the IPL auctions.

Mallya had made it clear that he was far from happy with captain Rahul Dravid's selection of players, which made the side look like a Test team in Twenty20 jersey.

Earlier Mallya admitted there were issues regarding team composition and non-performance but asserted he had full confidence in the squad, which was languishing at the bottom of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Mallya had also said that he did not regret buying an IPL franchise but claimed his comments on former CEO Charu Sharma's sacking were distorted to send the wrong signal.

"I have read all the reports in the media over few days with considerable dismay. Matters are not only being blown extravagantly out of proportion but my initial comments in response to Charu Sharma have been twisted and turned in a bizarre manner," Mallya, currently in Europe, said in a statement.
