KOZHIKODE: CPM district secretary T P Ramakrishnan, who reached Kozhikode on Tuesday after a tour to China along with friends and family, said that there was no crisis in the party. Ramakrishnan’s foreign trip at a time when the CPM, the district unit in particular, was facing a crisis following the murder of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan had drawn flak from various quarters. Speaking to reporters here, Ramakrishnan said that the controversy was only a media hype. “The trip was pre-planned with the prior permission of the party,” he said.Though the police team has arrested several CPM leaders of Vadakara and Kannur in connection with the murder, Ramakrishnan reiterated that the party had no involvement in the murder.“It is the UDF that cooks up allegations against the party. Even before the beginning of the investigation, UDF had declared the culprits,” he said.
