HYDERABAD: For once TDP president Chandrababu Naidu was in agreement with Kiran Kumar Reddy Wednesday, when he dismissed the notion that the CBI’s freeze of the accounts of Jagan’s Sakshi TV related to freedom of the press.Naidu said the Kadapa MP cannot claim immunity under the guise of being a media house since the newspaper and TV channel were established with ill-gotten wealth. “If Bhanu, a murder case accused, established a media empire, can we speak freedom of press,” Naidu said.Addressing media in Guntur and during bypoll campaign meetings in Macherla, Naidu said, “Politicians are taking shelter under press freedom to get immunity from criminal charges.” He recalled that in 2G scam, the accounts of Kalaignar TV owned by the DMK were frozen.
