THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A former dance reality show winner is learned to be under the police scanner in connection with the twin murder of goonda Shyam and his accomplice Praveen at Aramkal, near Nedumangad, on October 5. The show used to be aired on a private television channel a few years ago.  The dancer, attained celebrity status by emerging winner on the show, was interrogated by the investigation team in this regard. However, the police said that he would be interrogated again as there were discrepancies in his statements.  He had stated before the police that he was in Madurai in Tamil Nadu when the crime occurred. But the signals on his mobile phone stated the contrary. The signals showed that the device was in Thiruvananthapuram itself on the day of the murders, following which the police grew suspicious. He then told the police that he had left his mobile phone back home, said the police.  The police had arrested two persons, Manu and Shaji, the seventh and 11th accused in the case respectively, on Sunday. However, the police could not arrest the remaining accused despite extracting valuable information from them. The arrested were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody on Monday.
