North Korea may not stick to the April 14 deadline to shut its nuclear reactors as the funds have not been released yet.
New Delhi: North Korea may not stick to the April 14 deadline to shut its nuclear reactors.
Initial indications have come from the South Koreans who believe that the deadline could be missed as Pyongyang has till now not claimed unfrozen offshore funds.
They insist the funds must be released before it shuts down its nuclear reactor.
Macau authorities have already released funds worth $ 25 million for North Korea. These funds were blocked for the past 18 months.
The US, China, Japan and Russia agreed upon the deadline with North and South Korea in February.
Pyongyang had agreed to shut its nuclear weapons program by April 14, if the US released its frozen funds.
