Mumbai: Jiah Khan's mother, former actress Rabbiya Khan has produced a letter in which Jiah has blamed her boyfriend for her depression. The actress was reportedly in a relationship with actor Aditya Pancholi's son, Suraj.
The 25-year-old's family members have revealed that a six-page letter written by her has been found at their Juhu home. In what is purportedly written by the actress before her decision to end her life, she has blamed her ex-boyfriend for cheating on her and forcing her to take the extreme step. The actress committed suicide on June 3 by hanging herself in her Juhu flat in Mumbai. Earlier it was believed that Jiah took this drastic step as she was out of work for a long time and hence was suffering from depression.
On Sunday night, almost a week after Jiah's death, Rabbiya Khan released the scanned copy of her daughter's possible suicide note on a social networking site and categorically blamed Suraj Pancholi and his father Aditya for Jiah's death.
"Some sections of the media and some film industry people are speculating that my daughter Jiah committed suicide because of depression related to her career. However the truth is that it happened only because of the trauma and the abuse she suffered at the hands of Suraj Pancholi and his father Aditya Pancholi," stated Rabbiya 's note which was attached with the scanned copy.
While Jiah's mother has claimed that the letter that they have found is written by Jiah, the Police yet to ascertain the authenticity of the letter.
The original copy of the note has been submitted to the Police and the Mumbai Police is now verifying the handwriting and will now check the veracity of the letter and how it could be used to give new angles in the investigation.
