Moolampilly issue a blot on Kerala model

KOCHI: The incidents that unfolded at Moolampilly is a blot on the Kerala development model known for its progressive structures including public health care, public education and so on, observed the Asia-Pacific study group organised by the YMCA.Around twelve delegates from across the countries like Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and so on and from states like Orissa, New Delhi, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh visited Mullampilly to study the situation there. The delegates said they had approached the development path of Kerala with admiration. In the case of human rights violation that took place in Mullampilly, the measures taken by the government to make amendments, though late, is a welcome move, they said.Coordination committee general convenor Francis Kallanthunkal welcomed the delegates.
