KOTTAYAM: Mahatma Gandhi University has published the first online allotment list to 21,000 merit seats in its 116 under graduate courses under the centralised allotment process. The exercise is being introduced for the first time in the state. The students have to join the allotted college before 4 pm on June 16, even if they are not satisfied with the institution, so as to entail the claim for higher options. However, those who are satisfied with the allotted college have to log on to the website and delete the higher options if any.The techno-intensive allotment process has been made hassle-free by the efforts of an in-house system administration group and the CAP administration team which has been working round-the-clock for the last two months. The software as well as the hardware components were integrated with the security conventions followed in heavy critical production environment. The process which the applicant has to undergo for taking the admission is as follows: Log on to the site www.cap.mgu.ac.in using their application number and password, download the allotment memo and chalan, take printouts, remit the prescribed fees shown in the memo in any designated branch of SBT and report to the principal of the allotted college with all relevant documents in original - allotment memo, chalan receipt, mark lists of the qualifying examination, TC and conduct certificate from the institution last studied and caste/community certificate, non-creamy layer certificate/BPL certificate issued by the competent authority in the case of candidates who claim reservation under SEBC category and economically backward among forward communities, eligibility/equivalency certificate from MG University for those who have qualified from boards outside Kerala state except CBSE/ICSE, NCC/NSS certificate, ex-servicemen/dependent Certificate from Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, as applicable.Students can clarify their doubts if any at the CAP help desks 0481-6065004, 60650087, 60650088, 60650089.
