Merit evening held

KOCHI: A Merit Evening was conducted under the auspices of Sahodaya Schools Complex, Kochi, to felicitate the meritorious students of CBSE Class XII AISSCE examinations of the Kochi Schools. About 300 students received certificate awards for obtaining highest marks in various subjects and for receiving A1 Grade in all subjects. The award function is held every year to provide a common platform for celebrating the success of the students from the 80-odd schools falling under the Kochi Sahodaya.Dr M Beena, MD, Kerala Bridges and Roads Corporation and VMHS, who was the chief guest inaugurated the function and gave away the merit certificates. In her address she felicitated the students and also exhorted them to inculcate human values and translate their knowledge and talents into work for the betterment of society.President of the Kochi Sahodaya C S Johny, principal of St Peter’s Senior Secondary School, Kadayiruppu, welcomed the gathering. Secretary, Devi Ramankutty, principal, Chinmaya Kannamali, vice-president, Shantha Vijayan, Viswadeepti Vidyalaya, Panayikulam were also also present.  More than 50 principals were present at the function. Joint secretary, Helen Job, principal, Assisi Vidyaniketan, Kakkanad, proposed the vote of thanks.
