The Centre wants the southern states to meet the revised target of timely completion of the Restructured-Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) by March next.
Reviewing the implementation of R-APDRP in the southern states at a meeting here on Tuesday, VP Uma Shanker, secretary in the Union ministry of power, said the programme should be result-oriented and its benefits should reach the consumer. He appreciated the AP government’s efforts and the power utilities for successful implementation of R-APDRP which is intended to enable the Discoms to reduce the AT&C losses.
