HYDERABAD: A farm worker was electrocuted while charging his mobile phone at his residence at Annojiguda in Kandukur mandal, on the outskirts of the city, on Tuesday. According to Kandukur subinspector of police Sekhar, the victim, D Ramulu (50), was alone when the accident took place. His wife found him unconscious with his left hand finger burnt around 6 am and shifted him to a hospital with the help of neighbours but the doctors declared him dead.
"An autopsy was performed on the body at the Osmania General Hospital and we are waiting for the doctors opinion to come to a conclusion on the reasons for the death,' Sekhar said. A case under Section 174 (suspicious death) was registered.
