A person died in a car-truck collision at Perumbavoor on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Meethiyan Kunju Muhammed, 65, of Vellarkodath House, Kuttikkattukara, near Kalamassery.
The mishap occurred when Muhammed was on his way to Perumbavoor. Even though he was rushed to a private hospital, he succumbed.
The body has been preserved at the Ernakulam General Hospital and the post-mortem will be conducted on Tuesday
Muhammed, who was a retired KSEB engineer, is survived by wife Noorjahan, sons Sajin and Sibin, daughters-in-law Nadiya and Shabana. The funeral will be held on Tuesday.
