Mumbai: Suspended assistant police inspector Sachin Suryavanshi and the MLAs accused of beating him up inside the state Assembly premises will make their statements before the Ganpatrao Deshmukh committee on Monday.
The committee was set up by the Speaker as a fact finding mission. State Home Minister RR Patil had claimed that the CCTV footage available of the incident was inconclusive.
The API was attacked outside the state Assembly by a group of MLAs. Suryavanshi, in his complaint to the Marine Drive police, had identified MLAs Ram Kadam and Khistij Thakur as those who assaulted him with along with other MLAs.
