His is love for art through sketching and painting brought him to Hyderabad from Warangal district. In 1969, G Bharath Bushan, 55-year-old from Warangal, began painting during the Telangana agitations. He even held solo exhibitions of his paintings in Warangal. But after that, Bharat Bhushan took to photography as his profession and ended up being known more as a photographer than an artist-painter. He thought it would be good to document the important happenings, events, news reports. After more than two decades in photography, he started painting again. As always with him, he chose to do it in a novel way. He has done 1000 sketches (pencil, and a few with colour) of the most important events of the year 2006, documenting them, as it were. Deities - series 40 focused on Lord Ganesha, Hanuman and Kala Bhairavudu. The artist wanted to convey that the religion and science are interlinked with each other, his childhood interest made him do these paintings. He says among all his favourite painting is Kala Bhairavudu in orange colour, Ganesha in brown colour and Hanuman in typical orange. He concentrates mostly on folk elements.
