He further stated that police have booked a case but the medical reports stated that during his arrest, he had minor injuries on his leg.Shashikiran had a fight with Vanajakshi, a resident of Somwarpet, on January 22 and later she had filed a complaint with the police. He was arrested following the complaint. During the arrest, Shashikiran had a minor leg injury and the police had taken him to hospital for treatment and brought him back to station. Shashikiran died in the police station on Jan 23. After continued protest from the local people, the DySP conducted an inquiry and his report said that he did not die of police torture, instead, he died due to fight with Vanajakshi.
