KOCHI: A road show in connection with the World Heart Day (September 29) celebrations being organised by the Lions Club (District 324 E4) was flagged off by Justice V R Krishna Iyer here on Wednesday. The road show is a part of the yearly awareness programmes organised by the Lions Club. All the branches under the Lions District 324 E4 will conduct awareness programmes and medical camps on Sunday as part of the World Heart Day observation. The organisers said their main aim was to spread the fact that healthy eating habits, regular exercise, avoiding smoking and regularly monitoring the level of sugar, pressure and cholesterol in one’s blood is the best way to have a healthy heart.This year’s celebrations have a tagline ‘One world-one home-one heart’ pointing that the steps towards a healthy heart should begin from home.
