HYDERABAD: Hunting for organic tees this season? Check out the Hyderabad-based Leep tees, which is a great place to shop, if you’re looking for something fun and 100 per cent organic. While the label is not new (2008), its line of T-shirts is quite popular as seen from its fan following on Facebook. An initiative of Social Fabric, an outfit passionate about graphic art, eco-conscious clothing and accessories, the brand is founded by Praveen Manne, who wanted to provide customers with high quality T-shirts which are stylish as well as easy on the environment. ‘‘Our USP is the forward looking artwork and themes conceptualised from artists from Europe, Australia, USA and New Zealand,’’ he offers. ‘‘The cotton used here is grown without the help of pesticides, fertilisers and genetically modified seeds. The dyes used are less toxic and printing is done using a water-based ink system free from lead and other harmful agents,’’ explains Manne. What you get The product range includes CadetCut T-shirts and BoxRS (boxer shorts) for men and women and a brand of eyewear, handmade and designed in Japan per strict environmental guidelines. Colours include dull pink, olive, grey, yellow, green, indigo, browns and blue. Leep updates their stock seasonally, with new designs added each month. In the pipeline are a new range of products and a launch of a retail store. Details: leep.in
