Mumbai: Director Manish Manikpuri is positive about releasing his small budget film 'Aalaap' alongside Ekta Kapoor's much-hyped sex comedy 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum'. He says both films are different, and his movie goes much beyond entertainment.
Both films release Friday. "I don't fear releasing my film with 'Kyaa Super Kool...'. Both are very different films with different genre. The USP of my film is that it has a very strong subject and content. Our film has three basic contents - entertainment, education and enlightenment," Manikpuri told IANS.
"'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' is a big budget film. Our film 'Aalaap' has been made on a small budget. You never know at times many big films don't click at the box office and small budget films do well," he added.
'Aalaap' is a youth-based film set in Chhattisgrah. It was shot in dense forests of Chhattisgarh and the borders of the volatile state, said the director.
Produced by Nishant Tripathi and Abhishek Mishra of Shri Shankaracharya Arts, the film features Amit Purohit, Pitobash Tripathy, Harsh Rajput, Aabid Shamim, Abhimanyu Singh, Ruhi Chaturvedi, Rituparna Sengupta, Onkardas Manikpuri, Murli Sharma and Raghuveer Yadav.
