The student’s father Manoj Rathore said that he had rushed to the hospital after he received information about the assault on his son. At the hospital, he saw that his son was wounded on his cheek. The doctor treated him and stitched his cheek.

The incident took place at the government higher secondary school in Suket. Manoj Rathore said that the school teacher Shambhu Dayal slapped his son hard because he had overturned a table.

According to Manoj Rathore, the teacher was wearing something similar to an iron bracelet on his hand. Due to its impact, the child suffered a deep wound on his cheek. It should be noted that such incidents of corporal punishment to children has happened in schools in Rajasthan earlier. At times, students had to be admitted to the hospital and in two or three cases, students have even died.

Earlier in October 2021, a student in Kolasar village, within the Salasar police station area of Churu, died after being brutally beaten by a teacher.
