NALGONDA: Infrastructure and investment minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Sunday threatened to quit the primary membership of the Congress if AICC president Sonia Gandhi failed to take a decision on separate Telangana.He was addressing 'Poru Garjana' meeting at NG College grounds.Reminding that he had put in his papers as promised by him earlier, Venkata Reddy said that he would stage a dharna before the Assembly if the Speaker did not accept his resignation.He charged AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad with intentionally delaying the process of Telangana."The formation of T can be delayed further by holding consultations with leaders at the world-level," he criticised.However, he said that he has full faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.Venkata Reddy said that T Congress MPs and minister K Jana Reddy were putting their best efforts in New Delhi for achieving Telangana."If they fail to get an assurance from the party high command, they too should join the people and participate in the T agitation," he suggested.The minister alleged that power cuts were being imposed in the agriculture sector only in Telangana."Seemandhra farmers are having continuous power supply," he said.He charged the chief minister with making Hyderabad another Afghanistan by deploying a large number of police forces.Former minister Jupalli Krishna Rao said that all the elected representatives of the region should put in their papers to exert pressure on the Centre for T.Bhongir MP Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy, former minister S Santosh Reddy and supporters of the minister attended the meeting.
