Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar today said he was happy that he did not get married and is enjoying his single status. "I don't think I should get married... mad people get married. Those who get married 'phas jate hai'. I think I am best as single. My mantra in life is like the song 'Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar Aacha Khasa Tha Kuwara (Landed in trouble by getting married, was better off a bachelor)," the 41-year-old filmmaker said.
Karan was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film 'Hasee Toh Phasee'. Karan said in a lighter vein he was not someone who will easily get 'trapped' into anything.
"Main phasta nahi phasata hoon (..I don't get trapped but I trap others). Lot of actresses who come to my office woh phas jate hai...I give them less money," he quipped.
Karan's popular chat show 'Koffee with Karan' is making headlines.with stars like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor having made some cheeky comments.
"I have not attacked any celebrity personally (on the show). I am just doing my job... I get money to ask those kinds of questions. The way I ask questions I never offend any star. We share personal rapport with each other... My equation is such that whatever I ask the stars would never get offended," Karan said.
Karan clarified that he never posed any such questions to his guests so as to make them uncomfortable. "It turns into a casual, irrelevant sort of an atmosphere on the sets," he added.
