THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Deputy Leader of Opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Monday night arrived in the city from New Delhi, where he was attending a politburo meeting, to participate in the ‘satyagraha’ which was being staged by the Opposition members inside the Assembly. Addressing the mediapersons outside the state Legislative Complex, Kodiyeri said that if the conduct of the MLAs during the Assembly was the reason for suspension, then Minister K P Mohanan should also have been suspended for the act of placing his foot on top of the table before him. Kodiyeri also expressed his resentment over four former ministers, N K Premachandran, Benoy Viswam, M Vijayakumar and V Surendran Pillai, being blocked outside the Assembly complex when they tried to enter inside after the Assembly was adjourned and demanded an explanation from the Chief Minister for the “ill-treatment” they received. After addressing the supporters staging a sit-in outside, Kodiyeri went inside to join his cadre in the ‘satyagraha’.
