KC(J) not offered ministership, says Thankachan

KOCHI: The UDF has not considered giving ministerial berth to Kerala Congress (Jacob) before the Piravom by-election, said UDF Convener P P Thankachan in Kochi on Friday.He said that the situation in Piravom was favourable for the UDF and there was no doubt about its chances there. The UDF convener was responding to KC(J) chairman Johny Nelloor’s statement about deciding on the ministerial berth before the bypoll. He said there was no reason to think that a decision before the poll would ensure more votes. They have the right to ask for a post before the election. There was no dispute in the UDF regarding this, he said, adding that the bypoll cannot be seen as a valuation of the UDF government.
