New Delhi: Actress Swara Bhaskar, who plays Kangana Ranaut's best friend in Tanu Weds Manu, rubbishes reports that her co-star is a snob saying she has no airs and provides comfort to people around her.
"I spent most of the time filming with Kangana as my character of Payal is her close friend who acts as a ticker in her life. By ticker I mean, my character gives a reality check to her at every point in the film," said Swara who also worked in Madholal Keep Walking.
"Working with Kangana was a good experience. She is very chilled out and friendly. She is just the opposite of what people portray her as - she is not snobbish. She is very approachable and has no airs attached to her persona. We got along very well, we also went out for break together so that we could share compatibility which was required for our roles respectively."
Apart from Madholal Keep Walking, Swara also worked in Niyati which was directed by Pravesh Bhardwaj.
The 25-year-old is a graduate in English Literature from University of Delhi and did her masters in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, but saw her future in movies.
"I love the medium. I love the way the camera comes closer to your body and if you have spark in you to act, you cannot avoid it then. I am a firm believer of training. I have learnt the classical Indian dance form Bharatnatyam and also got training in theatre under veteran Delhi theatre personality N.K. Sharma."
Her future plans is to do "meaty roles. Roles that make me feel exhausted by the time it ends. I am fond of love stories and comedies. I want to do a lead role now".
