The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) on Sunday announced a two-day agitation beginning June 11 in protest against power crisis across the state.
"We will launch stir on June 11-12 in all the 24 districts in protest against power crisis," JVM chief and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi told a press conference here.
Marandi, whose government fell on the floor in March 2003, said "corruption in the energy department" was the reason behind his resignation thereafter.
"And the subsequent BJP-led government headed by Arjun Munda never tried to stem the corruption and it is the reason why power situation deteriorated in the state," Marandi added.
To a query, he said the JVM would contest all the 81 seats in the Assembly elections.
