New Delhi: In a fit of anger and verbal argument, a Provincial Armed Constabulary jawan first shot dead his colleague and then killed himself in the Capital on Friday night.
The incident took place at the Iraqi Embassy in South-West Delhi.
Both were from the 24th Battalion of PAC. They were rushed to the Safdarjung Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
According to the police, the constables, Satpal and Balkishen had an argument over some issue, following which head constable Shiv Kumar asked his seniors to post them separately.
However, the police has not been able to ascertain the cause for the incident yet.
Aaround 2200 hrs, IST, gun shots were heard from the guard room located at the second floor of the Embassy building.
"There was only one weapon which was used. Its a 303 rifle which had been issued to them and it has been ceased," says Shalini Singh, DCP, South West Delhi.
