All flights to and from Srinagar have been delayed. Roads in the city are covered with snow, throwing traffic out of gear. The Jammu-Srinagar Highway has been closed since Thursday.

Kargil and Leh in the frontier region of Ladakh, continue to be the coldest places with the minimum temperature dipping to minus 16.6 and minus 13.4 degrees Celsius respectively.

Jammu, the winter capital of the state too is observing a dip in the mercury with rains in most parts of the state.
