The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the notification of the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for the youth who wish to become teachers in government schools of Jharkhand. According to reports, candidates can apply by visiting the JAC exam portal till August 22. According to the notification, the form for Paper-1 for classes 1 to 5 and Paper-2 for classes 6 to 8 can be filled out online.
Educational Qualification:
In educational qualification, candidates for Paper-I should have passed the 12th class with at least 50 per cent marks or should have a 2-year diploma in elementary education or a 4-year bachelor’s degree. For Paper II, candidates should have a B.Ed. Degree, a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Science Arts degree, and a graduation with a Bachelor of Education (Integrated). Primary teachers have to pass Paper I to teach classes 1 to 5, while it is necessary to pass Paper II to teach classes 6 to 8.
Exam in pen-and-paper mode, no negative marking:
As per reports, the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be in pen-and-paper mode. There is no negative marking on it. Multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam. The exam paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages. Talking about the duration, the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Age Limit:
As per the notification, the minimum age requirement for Paper I is 18 years, while the minimum age requirement for Paper II is 21 years. There is no upper age limit for any post.
Application Fees:
For the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test, the application fee will be Rs 1300 for general, extremely backward class, backward class, and economically weaker section, and Rs 700 for Divyang, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe online.
Jharkhand Teacher Test 2024 Selection Process:
1. First there will be a written exam.
2. After that there will be an interview.
3. After that, there will be document verification.
