Jaipur: A 20-year-old girl was raped by a youth on the pretext of marrying her, police said in Jaipur on Saturday. The girl, hailing from Ajmer, was staying with her aunt in the city and was studying in a college.
During her stay in Jaipur, she met the youth named Sanjay Moolchandani and fell in love with him. The youth, who is from her community, also promised to marry her, police said.
"On April 14, the youth raped her and later moved to Dubai. The girl along with her father lodged an FIR against Sanjay last evening," SHO Sodala Rai Singh said.
Efforts are on to contact the accused, he said.
