With just a day to the grand consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, scores of flights are landing in the newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya Dham, with thousands of guests who received invitations from Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the inaugural event of Ram Mandir.
One such flight, operated by IndiGo airline, carried some of the top industrialists from Mumbai, who will take part in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
Among them were former HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh, D-Mart founder RK Damani, HDFC Bank MD and CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan, National Stock Exchange (NSE) CEO Ashish Chauhan, Hindustan Unilever (HUL) CEO Sanjiv Mehta, Enam Group CEO Vallabh Bhansali, Hiranandani Group CEO and MD Niranjan Hiranandani, sources told News18.
With some of the top minds of the Indian corporate sector under one roof, one would assume talks of business would have dominated the conversations among them.
However, contrary to that, the atmosphere of the flight was that of merriment and spirituality, sources said.
“There were chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Hamane Mandir Wahin Banaya Hai’ on the flights. Some passengers were also singing ‘Bhajans’ in the aircraft,” they said.
Talking to News18, one of the business executives said, “I consider myself lucky that I’m the chosen one (amongst the 140 crore Indians) who’s getting a chance to be there.”
About 8,000 people are on the long list of invitees to the grand event of January 22, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Among them, there are the 506 A-listers including prominent politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges and high priests.
The list of attendees from India Inc. includes Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani and family including his mother Kokilaben Ambani, wife Neeta Ambani, children Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani, daughter-in-law Shloka Ambani, and would-be-daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant.
Apart from that, Aditya Birla Group chairperson Kumar Mangalam Birla and his wife Nirja Birla, Piramal Group chairperson Ajay Piramal, Mahindra and Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra, DCM Shriram Chairperson Ajay Shriram (DCM Shriram) and TCS CEO K Krithivasan will also attend the ceremony.
Moreover, Dr Reddy’s Pharmaceuticals chairman K Satish Reddy, Zee Entertainment Enterprises CEO Punit Goenka, L&T CEO S N Subrahmanyan, Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy, Divis Laboratories founder Murali Divi, Jindal Steel & Power CEO Naveen Jindal and Medanta Group MD Dr Naresh Trehan will also be part of the event.
