THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala IT and Government of Finland are looking at forging strong partnership and collaborations to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Kerala and Finland. The decision was a result of the bilateraldiscussions held by Technopark CFO and Technopark-TBI Secretary & Registrar K C C Nair with Indian Ambassador to Finland Aladiyan Manickam during his visit to Finland. K C Chandrasekharan Nair represented Kerala IT in the 4th GlobalForum on Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship organised by the Government of Finland and InfoDev (World Bank) held during May 28 to June 3 at Helsinki, Finland. The aim of the meeting was to identify various opportunities for Finnish companies to start their shops in Kerala through the Finn-partnership programme. ‘’Technopark has extended invitation to the Finnish Government, Nokia Corporation and the Indian Embassy at Helsinki to visit Kerala for further talks on finalising the ways and means for partnership in IT and Telecom business areas,” said Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander. K C C Nair also held fruitful discussions with global incubation managers on how to raise the level of Technopark’s incubation initiatives to global standards. He also visited Sweden and Estonia for studying the various incubation models along with the Government of India, Department of Science & Technology officials and ISBA officials.
