New Delhi: Indian School of Business Dean M Rammohan Rao on Tuesday said that the ISB had achieved excellent placement results for Class 2007 with the highest international salary at Rs 1 crore 18 lakh.
“The highest domestic salary offer was Rs 43.91 lakh at an average of Rs 15.03 lakh whereas international companies offered an average of $1.35 lakh,” UNI quoted him as saying.
However, students preferred domestic offers, as several companies were willing to offer better remuneration. The high CTC levels demonstrated the employers' confidence in the superior quality of ISB's management talent.
Rao said the ISB concluded a successful season of placements for its graduates, attracting excellent offers for the students. The class of 2007 saw 416 students earning post graduate degrees in management programme. Of them, 414 participated in campus interview.
As many as 202 companies which visited the campus during the last few months made a total of 584 offers.
The placement results for 2007 had been outstanding and there had been a sharp increase in the CTC levels. The students displayed immense confidence in making choices suitable to long term career prospects over immediate salary offers.
In 2006, ISB’s placements touched the $233,800 mark (slightly over Rs 1 crore). The average international salary at ISB saw a jump of 21 per cent at $120,700 (around Rs 53.70 lakh) in 2006.
The highest domestic salary stood at Rs 30.33 lakh while the average Indian salary stood at Rs 11.77 lakh, reflecting an increase of 18 per cent from 2005.
