New Delhi: Adding a new smartphone to its Aqua portfolio, Intex has launched a new smartphone in India. Named the Aqua i5 Mini, the phone includes a theme-based user interface which allows users to access its features by clicking on the related theme. For instance, a user can access the phone book by just clicking on the book theme.
Priced at Rs 6,850, the phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display. Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. This dual-SIM supports Bluetooth and WiFi. The phone has 1 GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable upto 32GB.
The phone has four sensors - Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, G sensor. The phone comes packed with a 1500mAh battery, and is available in premium white colour.
Last year, Intex sold 11.5 million handsets. Intex has already launched 32 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has plans to launch around 8 more models during the next quarter.
