New Delhi: A shoulder injury has ruled out world wrestling champion Sushil Kumar from next month's Asian Games in China.
Sushil, who won the Commonwealth Games gold in the 66kg event, wants to recover from the shoulder injury he suffered during last month's world championships.
"I didn't get much time to recover. The World Championships is a very tough competition and immediately thereafter, I started preparing for the Commonwealth Games. Now I seriously need some time to recover and I have to get fit for the next season, which includes the Olympic qualifiers," said Sushil.
Pradeep Kumar will replace Sushil in the 66kg category.
