The men's rowing team of Kiran Yalamanchi and Bijender Singh unexpectedly stood third in lightweight doubles sculls rowing event.

India finished with a time of three minutes and 26.01 seconds, almost seven seconds behind Japan who clinched the gold medal. Thailand claimed the Silver.

This is the 11th medal for India at the Asian Games so far.
