New Delhi: India on Thursday signed three agreements with New Zealand on issues pertaining to avoidance of double taxation, cooperation in the field of youth and sport affair and food safety cooperation between FSSAI in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
The agreements were signed post their one-on-one meeting at Hyderabad House in the capital.
John Key, who is on a second state visit to India in five years, said New Zealand supports India's membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and promises to work on this constructively.
"New Zealand is committed to working with NSG members to reach a decision as soon as possible: PM Key on India's membership for NSG," he said.
Key further added that " New Zealand and India already share a very strong relationship, be it in trade or cricket."
PM Modi too thanked Key for his country's support to India in UN Security Council Membership.
"We are thankful for New Zealand’s support to India joining a reformed UN Security Council as a permanent member."
"We have agreed to continue to work closely towards an early conclusion of a balanced and mutually beneficial CECA," he further added.
