New Delhi: India is confident of winning the waiver from the Nuclear Suppliers Group in the meeting on Thursday.

Government sources told CNN IBN in Delhi that they are confident of securing the waiver in the next 72 hours.

The sources were positive that there would be no need for another NSG round next month as has been widely speculated.

However, they admitted that some challenges remain.

Winning over Austria and Ireland is seen as crucial.

Both the countries have strong non-proliferation concerns.

They say these concerns need to be reflected in the waiver document.

Foreign Secretary, Shiv Shankar Menon will be briefing NSG members before the meeting.

Thereafter, NSG delegates will meet separately for further discussions on India's case.
