SALEPUR: An idol of Lord Nrushingha, engraved on stone, was recovered from a pond in Lunahara village on Sunday.The ancient idol, five feet long and three feet in width, is made of a single black polished stone.It was unearthed when Bagaban Sahoo’s pond was being cleaned.Locals said the idol would be consecrated and worshipped in the village temple.
