The Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Tuesday interrogated terror suspects Halim, Shamnad and Anas, who were taken into custody by the Crime Branch’s Organised Crime Wing on Monday.
The interrogation took place at the DySP office, Perumbavoor. The Perumbavoor police had registered a case against the trio for conspiring to kill a goon at Perumbavoor after taking a quotation from a person named Abu.According to the police, the IB quizzed the trio over the terror network in the state. They were produced before the Judicial Magistrate and were remanded. The SIT probing the Kakkanad bomb blast case will seek the custody of the trio soon.The National Investigation Agency and Kannur police will also grill them after they are handed over to the Crime Branch.
Halim is one of the key accused in cases registered by the Kannur police for attacking several businessmen to raise funds for the trial of the terror accused lodged in jails in the state.
