Actress and former model Madhuri Bhattacharya was in Bangalore for thepromotion of Celebrity Cricket League 2011. Born in Bangalore, Bhattacharyastudied psychology at Mount Carmel College. She is well known for hersizzling item number Tinku Jiya in Yamla Pagla Deewana.Tell us about your association with Celebrity Cricket league?I am the brand ambassador for CCL, which I am very happy to be. I have also done a photo shoot for the calendar that was released recently. I am completely enjoying participating in the promotional event of CCL.Which team are you supporting in CCL?Being a brand ambassador of CCL, I am not supposed to be biased towards any team. But since Bangalore is my hometown, I started my career and completed my education here, it is definitely the first city that is close to my heart. So secretly, I support Karnataka Bulldozers.What are your upcoming projects?I have just finished the shooting of Prasad. It is a unique and serious film and you really have to be in the character to give your cent percent. I was not even looking for work at that time but now that the shoot is over and the movie is ready for release, I am looking for good projects. Things are coming my way but it wouldn’t be appropriate to delve the details before they get finalised.What kind of film is Prasad?It’s a wonderful story based on a special child that will make people aware of the difficult situations in life.What kind of response are you getting from your viewers and fans after your Bollywood ventures?The Last thing I did was Yamla Pagla Deewana. The song Tinku Jiya did much better than I thought it would. I am very happy that the track became so popular. Many people even started calling me Tinku after that. So it feels great when your fans and viewers like something and appreciate.Do you idolise anyone in the industry? Yes, Madhubala is  definitely one of my idols and the most beautiful woman. And ofcourse I love Madhuri Dixit, not only because she is my namesake but she is exceptional in every way.Any film that you wish you would have done.I think Jab We Met was a very nice film and I think I would have done a nice job in that. Kareena is among my favourite actresses and I assosiate with her character in the movie. Infact,  after watching the film a few of my friends even called me to say that the character in the movie resembles me a lot in personal life.What are your interests and how do you spend your leisure time?Leisure time for me is to go to the gym. Sometimes I even spend three to four hours gyming. I am also a movie buff and have a collection of  around 2500 movies. Another thing few people know is that I write poems. I love poetry but a few friends have read them. I am extremely shy and value my privacy.There were rumours of an affair between you and Arbaaz khan during the release of Prem Ka Game? Was there any reality in it or was it  meant to be a publicity stunt?It was nothing of that sort. Infact, Arbaaz and I laughed at such stupid rumours. We became friends during the shoot and I do not know where they get such false news. I think it was a publicity stunt. They needed something to be in news and hence spread the rumour.Are you planning to do any reality shows?Not really, because I am a very private person and wouldn’t prefer to make my personal life public. However, I enjoy game shows, something related to fitness or adventure. I am quite fond of adventure sports. I might do any such show if I get some good offers in future.
