Hyderabad: A nine-year-old boy died after being crushed in a lift at an apartment at Shanthinagar in Nampally police station limits on Sunday.
According to inspector Ch Sridhar, the deceased, K Kasnu Naik, son of Matru Naik, who works as a watchman in the under-construction apartment, was playing inside the lift when his leg got stuck in the door and the bottom half of his body got crushed between the lift and wall. The lift stopped after going down a metre and the boy died on the spot.
