BANGALORE:  Hundreds of youth took part in the padayatra undertaken by  the volunteers of India Against Corruption (IAC) from the city to New Delhi demanding a stronger Lokpal bill. According to Yogesh Devraj, a full time volunteer of India Against Corruption,  around 60 volunteers have pledged to walk from the Freedom Park, in the city, to New Delhi and hundreds of them are accompanying them to various places. Many more volunteers would join the marchers at strategic places in the city and all along the route, Devraj explained. A number of students from various colleges are also participating in the padayatra. Ashish, an engineering student said he is taking part in the padayatra along with ten of his classmates.  “We have managed to convince our parents and teachers to let us take part in the padayatra. As we have to walk more than 2,000 km, it might take nearly three months to complete the yatra. Our studies might be affected but this fight against corruption is more important than our career,” he told The New Indian Express.
