A total of 31 colleges, universities and institutions from Uttar Pradesh participated in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023. Of the 35, five were featured in the NIRF 2023, list of best universities. The top university from Uttar Pradesh, Banaras Hindu University, secured rank 5 in the NIRF ranking for universities. One of the best universities in India, the Central University is offering 22 courses under CUET UG 2023.

Following Banaras Hindu University is Aligarh Muslim University, which holds the second spot in Uttar Pradesh. As per the NIRF rankings, the university stands at 9th position in India and holds 19th rank overall. AMU is offering 15 courses under CUET UG 2023 to the students.

Located in Varanasi, the Banaras University was established in the year 1916. However, the Department of Commerce was started in the year 1940. Later, in the year 1975, after the addition of new courses, the name of the department was changed to Faculty of Commerce and Management. Students willing to enrol themselves in courses like B.Com Honors, B.Com Honors in Financial Markets, M.Com, MBA (FM), MBA (FT), and MBA (RI) can visit the official website of the college. Aligarh Muslim University is situated in Aligarh. This institution offers over 10 courses in graduation, post-graduation, and even PhD for the students from commerce stream. Those who want to pursue a BBA, MCom, MBA (FM), MHRM (Masters of Human Resource Management), MIRM (Master of Insurance and Risk Management), MTTM (Masters of Travel and Tourism Management), PGDBF, PGBRIM, and PhD can also proceed with the formalities to get admission in the University.
